Through Conduit Gate Valves
Through conduit gate valves are used for applications like:
– Offshore platforms
– Onshore terminals
– Transmission lines
Common used types of medium are:
– Non corrosive liquids
– Gas
– Water
– Sour Service
– Hydrocarbon liquids or Types of Through Conduit Valves and Hard Facing Disc
Types of Through Conduit Valves
The through conduit gate valve is a typical parallel gate valve. Through conduit Slab gate valves in two series: slab gate with self relieving seats and expanding wedge construction. To reduce the operating force during opening and closing a pressure balanced stem is part of our capabilities.
Design
Wedge and seats are ground and lapped to a mirror finish and tightly guided to prevent dragging and seat damage.
Body and bonnet joint accurately machined with high surface finish stem and packing chamber.
Low emission valve technology with a design optimized for extended service life.
Low compression packing reduces friction and allows more room to re-torque in the field.
Packing ring construction for excellent sealing and a corrosion inhibitor.
Due to the full bore configuration the valve is piggable.
Option: live loaded gland bolting
Lantern ring with double packing (upper & lower) for critical services
Applications for Through Conduit -Slab Gate Valves
Red Point’s through conduit gate valves can be deployed for a wide variety of applications in the oil & gas and (petro)chemical industries when high quality and highly reliable valves are required. A few example applications include:
- High-temperature services
- Emergency shutdown valves (ESDV)
- High-integrity pressure protection system (HIPPS)
- High-pressure oxygen, nitrogen or hydrogen
- Solids handling (powders, fines, dust and catalysts)
- Polyethylene or polypropylene
- Coal conversion and gasification
- Thermal fluids
- Separator, filter and drying systems
- Compressor stations
- On/off isolation service
- Oil and gas manifolds
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the application areas of the Through Conduit / Slab Gate Valves?
Trough Conduit / Slab Gate Valves can be used for a wide variety of applications in the oil & gas and petrochemical industries when high quality and highly reliable valves are required.
What is the difference between Through Conduit / Slab Gate Valves?
The full bore duct design minimizes the turbolite of the flow, and when the valve is open, the pressure drop is equal to that produced by a pipe of the same diameter and length. What’s more, the valve is perfectly suited for pigging operations.
What are the generally used fluids in Through Conduit / Slab Gate Valves?
Commonly used types of fluids are:
-Non-corrosive liquids
-Gas
– Substances that give off H2S and H2SO4
-This
– Hydrocarbons
